The European Citizen Science Association ECSA draws on a wide and diverse network of members and supporters from Europe and internationally. They represent a mixture of research institutes, museums, universities, NGO, SME and other local and national Citizen Science groups that cover different fields, such as biological science, do-it-yourself approaches, environmental mapping and social sciences. The community is bound together by a strong commitment to advance participatory research.
The International ECSA Conference is aimed at scientists, practitioners, activists, funders, policy makers, non-governmental organizations, artists, and interested citizens in the field of Citizen Science. The edition of the conference was held in 2016 in Berlin. The Foundation Science et Cité is now organising the Second International ECSAConference together with the University of Geneva. It will take place from June 3 – 5, 2018 in Geneva.
