The European Journalism Centre (ECJ) is launching three new grants rounds for both freelancers and media organisations. Since its launch in 2013, the Journalism Grants programme, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, has awarded €4.5m to 140 projects across Europe. Impactful stories inform public opinion and debate and change the way people understand an issue. They provide citizens with the information to make decisions and form opinions about their lives, communities, societies and the world.
The ECJ is looking for innovative storytelling ideas that show new ways of engaging audiences using video, audio, imagery, data, text, maps, graphics, quizzes, animation and other engaging content forms.
